Sharon has facilitated a one day “Feel Good” workshop followed by a four week Personal Development and Confidence Building Course for young mums including single mums and mums from Ethnic Minority backgrounds from our Children’s Centre in McNay Street, Darlington. A group of ten mothers had the opportunity discover themselves as individuals by using creative medium and discussion in a confidential environment.
 
They experienced the power of being able to talk about their own dreams and wishes and acknowledge that pretence in relationships and in life is not helpful. The sessions gave them some knowledge and introduced them to tools to gently boost their confidence and create some self awareness about themselves and their interactions with their children and family. It probably inspired some to start seriously thinking how they are going to get to where they want to be.
 
The success of the course could be measured by a nearly 100% attendance by these hard-to reach client group but more importantly the brighter smiles and the comments on the evaluation forms - “the course was fun and easy", “..I was treated like an adult”, “ really different and worthwhile”, “..learnt useful things to use in daily life”.
 
Having had the privilege to be a student on one of Sharon’s Counselling Courses I can easily say she will no doubt touch and change your life in a positive and powerful way if you are willing to let that happen.
